T. & S. Tschudi 2021
When God speaks...
In 2016 God started to turn our lives completely upside down. Independently of each other, we both «heard» the topic called mission. This came as a great surprise – and yet we wanted to deal with it. We became painfully aware that we would have to leave our families and the beloved «paradise» to heed such a vocation. Our merciful God, however, slowly but surely changed our heart attitude and we experienced how HE helped us to let go of things. It was truly exciting to experience that the smaller our possessions became, the freer, lighter and cheerful we felt!
In 2018 we ventured the first step towards mission by attending the «Revival School on the Move» (mission school of Freie christliche Jugendgemeinschaft FCJG in Lüdenscheid/Germany). As the name suggests, one is on the move during the training: Thus, we spent four months in Germany, then it was off to Mongolia for two months and finally to the Philippines for three months. During these months of preparation God worked great things in us; HE changed our hearts and «removed» barriers in our ways of thinking! HE kindled this «fire» in us to bring the Gospel to the nations and opened our hearts to the poor and needy.
We are now in our second year of mission preparation; the goal is a long-term mission assignment. During the last months, God has clearly revealed to us that we should serve in Mongolia and in cooperation with SMG and the partner organization «Help». Until free traveling is possible again and the borders are open, we remain in Lüdenscheid and spend our time there. That means three months of additional training and actual office work in the «Help» administration; after that we plan to do an internship in the drug rehabilitation centre «Wiedenhof». This «all different» and the meaningful preparation until departure are just part of it! Despite all the challenges, we have never regretted taking these steps and are looking forward to the coming adventures with God!
