Position Summary:
People International is seeking a passionate and visionary European Mobiliser to drive recruitment and mobilization across Europe, with a focus on reaching unengaged regions for Central Asia. Based in continental Europe, this role involves strategic leadership, building partnerships with churches and mission organizations, and establishing new mobilization centers in areas without existing offices. The Mobiliser will recruit long- and short-term workers, coordinate resources, and represent People International at various events. This support-based position is ideal for a self-motivated Christian leader with experience in mission mobilization and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Visionary Oversight:
- Lead People International’s expansion across Europe (excluding current office locations) with strategic vision and alignment to organizational standards.
- Provide guidance for developing new mobilization hubs to ensure consistency in quality and adherence to People International’s standards.
- Strategic Planning and Growth:
- Design and implement a Europe-wide mobilization strategy to support our mission, focusing on unengaged people groups (UPGs) in Central Asia.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing partnerships while identifying opportunities for new mobilization centers (national offices) across Europe.
- Resource Sharing and Collaboration:
- Coordinate the sharing of resources across mobilization centers, such as training materials, courses, and procedural tools.
- Facilitate regular meetings to ensure experiences and ideas are exchanged, enhancing mutual growth and efficiency.
- Recruitment and Member Support:
- Recruit both long- and short-term members to join People International’s mission in Central Asia, overseeing their preparation, training, and care.
- Develop and maintain mobilization materials, prayer networks, and website content to support recruiting efforts and applicant processing.
- Representation and Public Engagement:
- Represent People International to European audiences, including churches, Bible schools, and mission conferences, to inspire engagement in cross-cultural missions.
- Build strong connections with other People International leaders and represent Europe at various leadership and strategic meetings.
- Program and Financial Management:
- Manage Europe-wide programs, set strategic goals, oversee team performance, and report regularly to the IO Board.
- Develop and manage the mobilization budget, including fundraising and member fees to support operational costs and field projects.
- Staff Recruitment and Leadership Development:
- Recruit and build a team to support mobilization efforts; assist in fundraising and training where necessary.
- Identify, train, and spiritually develop emerging leaders, with the goal of establishing national offices and directors in new European regions.
Profile:
- Commitment to the mission and core values of People International as a practicing Christian.
- Fluent English (additional European languages are a plus).
- Located in continental Europe with a strong understanding of mission sending from Europe.
- Proven experience in mission work or mobilization.
- Strong leadership and management skills, particularly with multicultural teams.
- Demonstrated ability to make collaborative decisions and work across diverse cultural contexts.
Compensation:
This position is support-based, meaning candidates will be responsible for developing their own prayer and financial support networks.
